Wastewater level monitoring is made simple with the intelligent dBi HART Level Sensors from Pulsar Measurement. The dBi HART Transducers are a range of self-contained, intelligent, non-contacting level sensors. Making use of HART Protocol makes integration with existing site systems quick, simple, and easy. The non-contacting, ultrasonic level transducers can be used as stand-alone devices or as complete systems, using HART protocol for data collection.
Why use HART Protocol?
The HART Protocol is a hybrid analog and digital industrial automation open protocol. It can communicate over legacy 4-20mA analog instrumentation current loops, sharing the pair of wires used by the analog-only host systems. HART is widely used in process and instrumentation systems ranging from small automation applications to highly sophisticated industrial applications.
Low Power and DTM Functionality
The low power design of the dBi HART level sensors is ideal for remote locations, wet-well monitoring, sewer network monitoring, silo level measurement, solid level measurement, tank level measurement, and stock/inventory control.
The Device Type Manager (DTM) from Pulsar Measurement enhances the dBi's capabilities meaning that end-users can communicate with the ultrasonic level sensors using FDT framework applications such as PACTware. The dBi HART non-contacting level sensors also benefit from Pulsar Measurement's world-leading DATEM technology. DATEM enables the sensors to zone in on the echo from the true target, ignoring stationary echoes from other elements in the measurement path, eliminating the commonly seen loss of echo problem.
Tank Shapes and Volume Measurement
The dBi HART Level Sensors provide onboard conversion for volume with several pre-set tank shapes, plus the ability to curve-fit to non-standard tank shapes. The output from the unit can be configured to represent distance, level, space, or volume.
DATEM Technology
As with all level sensors from Pulsar Measurement, the dBi HART series features unique Pulsar Measurement DATEM echo processing software, allowing the system to zero in on the echo from the true target and follow it as it moves up and down the vessel, ignoring the stationary echoes from other elements in the measurement path.
