Depending on the installation point requirements of the fiber line, there are two types of SAFE-DRIVE Process Refractometer PR-23-SD systems specifically designed for reliability and ease of direct installation in the process pipeline:
SAFE-DRIVE™ Process Refractometer PR-23-SD with steam prism cleaning for filtrate and thin black liquor lines
Represents the total dissolved solids (TDS) in solution.
It is suitable for measuring washing efficiency because it takes into account both organic and inorganic parts.
For all concentrations
Measure the exact concentration of a washable liquid substance
Detect organic materials with large molecular sizes, such as lignin
It is not affected by chemical oxygen demand (COD) caused by methanol
On-line real-time measurement, instant response time, suitable for control
It is installed directly on the pulp line
Low operating cost and maintenance free
Refractive index techniqueOur refractive index measurement technology has become the industry standard - it is widely used to measure black dry solid and green liquid density in sulfate chemical recovery processes worldwide.
This technique addresses the key factors required to measure TDS in all types of protoplasmic washing machines and washing processes. Continuous online measurements can quickly respond to changes in the process.
Easy to install and operateThe SAFE-DRIVE Process Refractometer PR-23-SD sensor is very easy to install by soldering to any vertical or horizontal pipe of 2 inches or larger diameter. The need for separate short fittings or segments is minimized. The welding template guides the correct welding.
Refractometers have no lights or moving parts that require regular maintenance or recaliphation. Users can simply "install and forget", resulting in a lower total cost of ownership.
Accurate and reliableThe SAFE-DRIVE Process Refractometer PR-23-SD measurement is based on utilizing the unique technology of solid-state optics and CCD cameras to provide a digital measurement of the refractive index.
The measurement accuracy is ±0.0002 RI (equivalent to ± 0.1% weight). Due to its unique design, the measurement is not affected by suspended solids, air bubbles or fibers, which allows the refractometer to be mounted directly to the pulp or filtrate line. Our refractometer is not affected by vibrations, temperature shocks, or pressure spikes.
