Vaisala K‑PATENTS®The versatile online refractometer PR-43-G is ideal for measuring liquid concentration and density in a wide range of industrial applications due to its durability and versatility. It enables highly accurate measurements in demanding process control applications and is unaffected by undissolved solids and air bubbles.
The refractometer has a built-in Web server and instrument home page, which enables users to monitor, configure and diagnose it remotely through an Ethernet connection. Each PR-43-G refractometer also provides an mA output signal for control purposes. With special wetted parts material and hazardous area certification.
The measurement performance is still good under harsh process conditions with high levels of solids, particles, bubbles, pulse flow or abrasive and corrosive substances.
The calibration of each refractometer against the measurements is the same and thus freely interchangeable without optical recaliphcation or parameter changes.
Full range, nD = 1.3200... 1.5300 corresponds to hot water... 100% (percent mass). Optional range: nD = 1.260... 1.470; nD = 1.410... 1.620; nD = 1.520... 1.730
Temperature range: -40°C... 130°C (compact PR-43-GC); To 40 ° C... 150°C (PR-43-GP probe).
Full digital system: Particles and bubbles do not affect operation or accuracy
CORE-Optics: no drift, no re-calibration, no mechanical adjustment
Special wetted component materials such as AISI 316L stainless steel, Alloy 20, Hastenberg C276/ASTM C276, Nickel 200/201, titanium GR2/ATM B348 GR2 are used
Safety in Hazardous Areas (Ex e) certification
Protection class IP67/4X type (for outdoor use)
The PR-43-GP refractometer has a built-in Web server, which can display the main instrument interface. Users can configure, monitor, verify and diagnose the refractometer using the main interface via Ethernet connection.
Built-in Pt1000, fast temperature measurement and automatic temperature compensation work.
Calibration verification is easily achieved at the customer site using refractive index standards and built-in verification procedures.
Designed for harsh environmentsThe Vaasala K‑PATENTS® Online Refractometer PR-43-G can be used in a variety of harsh environments, including corrosion, abrasiveness, extreme temperature, pressure, vibration, pollution, humidity, dust, or any combination of these factors. The refractometer and user interface are available in different protection classes (IEC 60529) and NEMA classes to withstand a variety of harsh operating conditions and meet the needs of outdoor use.
The installation operation is simple and cost-effectiveThe PR-43-G in-line refractometers can be mounted on main process lines, bypasses or vessels, secured by flange or Sandvik clamps, or by a variety of flow cell options that are cost-effective and easy to install. The refractometer user interface can be installed locally in the field, in a remote control room, or both (by connecting several user interfaces in a network). Online refractometers do not have light sources or moving parts that need to be regularly maintained or recalibed. These all imply low total cost of ownership for the customer.
Accurate and reliableVaisala K‑PATENTS® online refractometers use digital sensing technology to ensure reliability and stable measurement and calibration results, even under demanding process conditions.
