PixelCam™ multispectral cameras provide live imaging of 3 to 9 spectral bands, off-the-shelf or custom, at video rates. Simultaneous multichannel “snapshot” acquisition delivers rich, real-time data without scene change or pixel shift.
Custom dichroic filter arrays are integrated into the focal plane array at wafer level to create robust linear and area sensors that extract high-contrast spectral information at specific visible and infrared wavelengths.
This breakthrough technology enables easy integration into handheld, mobile, and aerial cameras – all with the same frame rate, size, weight, and power consumption as monochrome cameras.

Discerns Between 9 Distinct Spectral Ranges from 1000nm to 1700nm
The PixelCam™ 9-Band SWIR camera utilizes the latest developments in high-performance SWIR (Short Wave Infrared) image sensors. It combines Torrent’s patented pixelated filters to create a multispectral imaging system capable of discerning 9 distinct spectral ranges between 1000nm and 1700nm.
This opens the door to a wide range of applications where distinguishing the different SWIR “colors” enables identification of other subjects much more clearly. Using the SWIR spectrum enables deeper penetration into certain substances and even the ability to see right through them when a visible image would be occluded or even completely opaque
