Low noise – NEP 0.7 fW/√ Hz
Including transimpedance amplifier with gain up to 1012 V/A
Wavelength range from 320 nm to 1700 nm
FWPR-20 series optical receivers combine low noise Si or InGaAs PIN photodiodes with specially designed transimpedance amplifiers, with very high gain and very low noise up to 1012 V/A. Because of its very low NEP of 0.7 fW/√ Hz, this unique combination produces an optical receiver with flying shoe sensitivity. Optical power as low as about 50 fW can be directly detected. Combined with the optional FEMTO lock-in amplifier, it can even detect the power level within the range of Yafeiwa.
REPLACE YOUR EXPENSIVE APD, PMT, OR LN2 COOLED IR DETECTORDue to its extremely high sensitivity, the FEMTO FWPR-20 series optical receiver can replace APD, PMT and cooled germanium photodiodes in many applications. No expensive high-voltage power or cooling is required.
FWPR-20-SI provides high quantum efficiency similar to the APD based single photon counting module in the visible and near infrared wavelengths. In applications where timing requirements are not strict, for example, when the signal of the photon counter is integrated for 10 milliseconds or more, the FWPR-20-SI optical receiver achieves a comparable signal-to-noise ratio at a fraction of the cost.
For NIR spectra, InGaAs model FWPR-20-IN achieves results similar to more expensive and complex systems based on liquid nitrogen cooled germanium detectors with external amplifiers. As an extremely low noise, high gain amplifier has been integrated, signals in the volt range can be directly obtained at the output of the FWPR-20 Femtowatt optical receiver.
COMPATIBLE WITH OPTICAL BENCH (FREE SPACE) AND FIBER OPTICSThe free space input is designed as a 1.035 "- 40 threaded flange (FST) with threaded coupling ring or a 25 mm round flange (FS) without thread. Both types are widely compatible with optical accessories from different manufacturers, such as lenses, tubes, cage systems, optical adapters, etc.
The FST free space input can be easily converted to fiber connection (FC, FSMA) by simply screwing on the PRA series fiber adapter.
The relatively large area of the detector facilitates optical focusing in free space applications and ensures a highly stable coupling when using optional fiber adapters.
All FWPR photoelectric receivers are equipped with UNC 8-32 and M4 threaded holes, so that they can be easily and stably integrated into the optical system on the standard mast. The optional adapter PRA-PAP opens up more installation options.
