Overview of MQ-100X Quantum Integral Sensor with Handheld Meter

User 's Manual

MQ-100X quantum integral sensor with hand-held instrument adopts Apogee's older and more economical photoelectric detector, which is very suitable for accurately measuring PAR, metal halide and high-pressure sodium lamp in sunlight. This instrument is equipped with a laboratory level photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) optical detector, which is accurately calibrated to measure the light intensity of specific color wavelengths emitted by sunlight, MH and HPS light used by plants for photosynthesis, and the unit isµ mol m ˉ² s ˉ¹

Robust and easy to use: The MQ-100X integrates the sensor onto the top of the instrument, making it easy to carry and spot check the light. Display real-time readings, record samples, and record average intensity and daylight integration (DLI) measurements.

Accurate and stable calibration: the instrument combines the intensity of all photons between 400 and 700 nm under sunlight, metal halide and high-pressure sodium lamp to give a value ofµ mol m within 5% uncertainty ˉ² s ˉ¹is a single PAR reading in units. Unlike amateur PAR instruments that are sometimes used out of the box but quickly lose calibration, Apogee instruments have accurate and stable calibration, with an annual drift rate of less than 2%.

Three measurement modes: the instrument has point measurement, sampling and logging modes, and records inmol m ˉ² s ˉ¹is the unit of comprehensive daily total. The sampling mode will record up to 99 manual measurements, and the logging mode will turn the instrument on and off, making measurements every 30 seconds. Every 30 minutes, the instrument will take an average of 60 30 second measurements and record the average value in the memory, up to 99 average values. Once filled, it will overwrite the old measurement with the new one. The daily light integration will be recorded from 48 average measurements to obtain a daily reading, which can be downloaded via the Apogee AC-100 cable and used with the accompanying Apogee AMS software.
