The Safe-Drive design allows SAFE and easy insertion and retraction of the sensor at full working pressure without the shutdown process.
The measuring range covers 0-100% (by weight). The accuracy is usually ±0.1 % bw and the measurements are automatically temperature compensated. Low and high concentration alarms can be configured. Due to the digital sensing technology, even a large number of suspended solids, bubbles, or color changes do not affect the measurement or accuracy.
Each sensor is equipped with a calibration certificate that compares a set of standard liquids to the actual sensor output. Calibration and accuracy can be verified in the field using a certified refractive index liquid.
The Safe-Drive isolator and reeler tool allows SAFE and easy insertion and removal of refractometer sensors at full process pressure. Easy to place and self-fixed design. Triple seal through two lip seals and an O-ring.
Prevent accidental opening or closing of the isolation ball valve.
Retractable prism cleaning nozzles can be safely removed for maintenance inspection.
The SAFE-DRIVE retractor prevents the user from accidentally spilling during retraction and insertion.
The SAFE-DRIVE sensor is easy to pass by welding or short pipe fitting (diameter 2 inches... 20 ") fitted to any size pipe (2 "... 24 inches). Can be installed on horizontal or vertical pipes. The maximum static pressure is 40 bar and the maximum working pressure is 10 bar. The short pipe fitting process connection is a DIN flange PN25/ANSI flange 150 lbs.
The refractive index (nD) of 1.3200 to 1.5300 corresponds to the full range of dry solids for most applications, or 1.3600 to 1.5700 for acacia and Eucalyptus hardwood black liquor with more than 80% dry solids.
Factory calibration ensures that all sensors have the same nD measurement performance, making them interchangeable without additional optical calibration.
Process temperature range: -20° -- 170°C (-4° -- 340°F)
Dual connection: one transmitter can operate two sensors independently. A second sensor can be easily integrated later.
Full digital system: particles and bubbles do not affect operation or accuracy.
CORE-optics module: no drift, no re-calibration, no mechanical adjustment.
An Ethernet connection and a remote panel via the Internet allow data logging and remote manipulation, such as viewing instrument data and diagnostics.
All digital and powerful systemThe Vaisala K patented SAFE-DRIVE Process Refractometer PR-23-SD combines advanced CCD camera technology with the rugged SAF2205 dual-phase steel SS sensor probe. The probe is designed for demanding process conditions, high temperatures, pressures and vibrations.
The SAFE-DRIVE process refractometer PR-23-SD has been calibrated at the factory to measure the refractive index nD and temperature T in standard units. Each sensor has the same full-range calibration nD=1.32... 1.53 (corresponds to 0-100%) Since the PR-23-SD sensors have the same calibration and each provides refractive index nD and temperature as output, all sensors can be freely interchanged without any inconvenience of optical calibration or parameter changes.
Easy to install and operateThe SAFE-DRIVE Process Refractometer PR-23-SD sensor is very easy to install by soldering to any vertical or horizontal pipe of 2 inches or larger diameter. The need for separate short fittings or segments is minimized. The welding template guides the correct welding.
The Safe-Drive is a safety design consisting of a sensor isolation valve and a telescopic that allows SAFE and easy insertion and expansion of refractometer sensors at full operating pressure without a shutdown process.
Refractometers have no lights or moving parts that require regular maintenance or recaliphation. Users can simply "install and forget", resulting in a lower total cost of ownership.
Accuracy And Good ReliabilityThe SAFE-DRIVE Process Refractometer PR-23-SD measurement is based on utilizing the unique technology of solid-state optics and CCD cameras to provide a digital measurement of the refractive index. The measurement accuracy is ±0.0002 RI (equivalent to ± 0.1% weight).
Due to the digital sensing technology, even a large number of suspended solids, bubbles, or color changes do not affect the measurement or accuracy.
